Sarah Suttie — Cover Letter — City of Bunbury

I am writing to express my interest in upcoming Marketing and Communications opportunities with the City of Bunbury. With more than a decade of experience across marketing, communications, graphic design, digital content, media, retail and community engagement, I offer a versatile combination of creativity, practical campaign delivery and strong written and visual communication skills.

In my current role as Marketing Executive at Stockland Wendouree, I help plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, community activations, retailer initiatives and customer communications. My work includes developing campaign concepts, coordinating timelines and stakeholders, writing content and producing material across social media, electronic direct mail, websites, digital screens and in-centre signage.

I have contributed to seasonal promotions, school holiday programs, cultural events, retailer openings and partnerships with local schools, charities, community organisations and emergency services. One significant project involved helping deliver an ANZAC commemorative installation that engaged 11 local schools and more than 2,000 students and increased customer engagement. This experience strengthened my ability to develop meaningful campaigns that connect organisations with their communities.

My Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva allow me to confidently create engaging campaign material. I am also skilled in social media management, photography, video content, copywriting and digital marketing platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sprout Social. Before joining Stockland, I worked in regional media and operated Monarch Giftware for eight years, managing branding, ecommerce, marketing campaigns, customer communications and business development.

I am currently completing a Bachelor of Media and Communications, majoring in Public Relations, through Swinburne University of Technology. My family and I are planning to relocate to the Greater Bunbury region, where we own land in Boyanup. I am particularly interested in contributing to the City of Bunbury because of its focus on community connection, regional growth and communicating the unique identity of the area.
