Sarah Suttie — Cover Letter — RCR Mining Technologies

I am writing to apply for the Marketing & Communications Coordinator position with RCR Mining Technologies. The role really stood out to me because it brings together many of the areas I enjoy most about marketing, including content creation, campaigns, events, communications, design and working with different stakeholders.

I currently work as a Marketing Executive at Stockland Wendouree, where I coordinate a wide range of marketing activities for the shopping centre. My role is hands-on and can involve everything from planning a campaign or event to creating social media content, eDMs, website updates, digital screen content, signage, and other promotional material.

I also work closely with retailers, suppliers, community groups, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with Stockland's brand. No two weeks are quite the same, so I am used to juggling several priorities at once and adapting when things change.

I hold an Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design. This has been a real advantage throughout my marketing career because I can not only coordinate campaigns but also create a lot of the content myself. I regularly use Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva, and I have experience with platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, Microsoft 365, and website content management systems.

I am also currently completing a Bachelor of Media & Communications, specialising in Public Relations, through Swinburne University. I have enjoyed combining what I am learning through my degree with the practical experience I already have in marketing and communications.

What appeals to me about RCR is the variety of the role. I like being involved across different areas rather than focusing on just one part of marketing, and I feel my mix of marketing, communications, design and event experience would suit the position well.

Our family is currently building in Boyanup and preparing to relocate from Victoria to South West Western Australia, so the opportunity to work in Bunbury is particularly appealing. I look forward to building my career in the region and would welcome the opportunity to bring my experience to the RCR team.
